What the project does.
The main purpose of this project activity is to generate a clean form of electricity through renewable solar energy sources. The project activity involves a total capacity of 940 MW solar power project which is installed in Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Rajasthan states of India.
Over the first 10-year crediting period, this project is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by around 1,454,303 tons of CO₂ per year. It will also replace about 1,534,889 MWh of electricity annually from India’s power grid, which currently relies heavily on thermal and fossil fuel-based energy sources.
